CineSLAM lgbtq Short Film Fest – June 27

CineSlam lgbtq Short Film Fest will be presented at the Latchis Theatre on Saturday, June 27 at 4:00pm.

A filmic cornucopia, this year’s line-up of national and international films spans genres, subjects and emotions, a kaleidoscopic expression of lgbtq life and experience. The line-up includes: the dramatic shorts Una Playa, Fragile, Las Cosas Que Brillian, The Last Story on Earth, Pakka and Pallbearers; and documentary/non-fiction films Drag Me Home, Handwoven, and La Raiz.

Since 1999 Kopkind has put on public events and brought together journalists, activists and documentary filmmakers for seminar/retreats in Guilford, where Andy Kopkind spent 25 summers with his life partner, John Scagliotti, a pioneer in gay media and the project’s administrator. Kopkind follows in Andy’s spirit of thinking deeply, analyzing astutely, living expressively, and extending the field for freedom, pleasure and imagination.
