The Vermont State Employees’ Association presents the Brattleboro Labor Film Festival on four Sundays at the Latchis Theatre, beginning Labor Day Weekend. All festival screenings are at 4:00pm, and admission is by donation.

The festival continues on Sunday, Sept. 27, with STRENGTH OF THE STORM, followed by a panel moderated by the Vermont Workers’ Center.  Strength of the Storm is the gripping true story of mobile home park residents in Berlin, Vt., who lost their homes in Tropical Storm Irene and ended up coming together to fight against greater economic injustice in the state of Vermont. It is the story of hope rising from the ashes of destruction.

The festival wraps up on Oct. 4 with THE WOBBLIES & THE FLINT SIT DOWN STRIKE, followed by a panel moderated by Tom Juriavich of UMass Amherst Labor Center
